As you know we have already started excavations at Dealul Guran. But there is also a small survey team which set out to find new Paleolithic sites. It therefore visits loess profiles, rockshelters and caves. Being in a such a survey team allows you to leave the main roads and enter the hinterland, and by that allows you to encounter the local wildlife:

Of course we didn’t only photograph animals and visit beautiful places, but we’ve also found archaeological traces of human occupation. Again, we’ll keep you informed.
